What is Cisco 8000 Series Routers?

The Cisco® 8000 Series routers play a crucial part in contemporary networking landscapes. They deliver outstanding provider-class routing functionalities characterized by unparalleled density, performance, and energy efficiency. This adaptability enables the Cisco 8000 Series to serve a wide range of routing applications, all backed by a cohesive ASIC architecture and operating system that streamline qualification, deployment, and ongoing management. With the incorporation of Cisco Silicon One™, IOS XR® software, and a thoughtfully engineered chassis, the Cisco 8000 Series represents a notable leap forward in high-performance routing technology. The lineup features a diverse array of routers that are not only rich in features but also highly scalable, equipped with deep-buffered, on-chip High Bandwidth Memory (HBM), and optimized for 400 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE), boasting performance capabilities that span from 10.8 to 25.6 Tbps within a compact 1 RU form factor. Additionally, it includes an advanced, rack-mountable modular system capable of achieving a remarkable 518.4 Tbps of full-duplex, line-rate forwarding, positioning it as an exceptional option for high-demand network settings. Consequently, organizations can significantly enhance their networking efficiency and capacity by leveraging this cutting-edge technology, thereby paving the way for future growth and innovation.

What is CCR2004-1G-2XS-PCIe?

Enhance the efficiency of your server room by directly incorporating a genuine CCR2004 into your server infrastructure! This groundbreaking device combines a simple 2x 25 Gigabit PCIe Ethernet adapter with the advanced capabilities of a comprehensive routing solution. Upon connection, the PCIe interface manifests as four virtual Ethernet interfaces, with two operating in passthrough mode connected to the 25G SFP28 cages. The remaining two virtual Ethernet-PCIe interfaces are bridged to the Gigabit Ethernet port, facilitating straightforward management access. Users enjoy the flexibility to customize all interfaces and settings, as it functions on a fully operational RouterOS platform. To allow this CCR device to act as a Network Interface Card (NIC), a new Passthrough mode has been introduced, which essentially serves as a FastForward FastPath mode that can relay hardware link statuses effectively. This NIC is engineered to deliver wire-speed performance (100Gbps) with Jumbo frames, ensuring it remains free from becoming a bottleneck across most server configurations, thereby improving the overall performance and reliability of the system. The effortless integration of this innovative technology not only optimizes network traffic but also significantly enhances resource allocation throughout your entire infrastructure, providing a substantial boost to overall operational efficiency. This advancement represents a critical step forward in modernizing network solutions.
