What is KISSsoft?

The gear calculation process includes a wide range of gear types, such as cylindrical, bevel, worm, crossed helical, hypoid, and face gears. In addition to calculations that conform to standards like ISO, DIN, AGMA, and VDI, various sizing and optimization tools are provided, alongside methodologies that go beyond conventional standards. KISSsoft® fully integrates shaft and bearing calculations, allowing for optional evaluations of shaft strengths and bearing rating life while considering internal geometries per ISO TS 16281. The calculation method is capable of analyzing multiple coaxial shafts and their corresponding bearings, allowing for the identification of torsion and bending-critical eigenfrequencies of these shafts. When assessing shaft-hub connections, the system checks the integrity of each connection, ensuring that the resulting pressures remain within the permissible material characteristic limits. Additionally, every calculation module offers sizing options for strength-relevant geometric dimensions and the maximum torque that can be transmitted, thus enhancing the accuracy of the overall analysis. This thorough methodology not only simplifies the design process but also significantly boosts reliability in various mechanical applications, making it an invaluable resource for engineers.

What is AutoCAD Mechanical?

Enhance your design workflow with a dedicated set of tools specifically designed for mechanical engineering, boasting an extensive library of over 700,000 intelligent components and features. Seamlessly manage layer groups by isolating and restoring them, while also customizing linetypes and lineweights to fit your project needs. Your geometry stays current automatically with any changes made, eliminating the necessity for repetitive manual redraws. Create highly accurate drawings that integrate standard components for added precision. Efficiently analyze your designs by utilizing generators for various elements like shafts, springs, belts, chains, and cams. Effortlessly provide detailed native Inventor part and assembly models, ensuring high-quality outputs. Take advantage of advanced drafting tools uniquely designed for mechanical design endeavors. Develop and maintain a personalized content library, allowing for the creation and storage of custom content tailored to your specifications. Streamline your process with preview commands for fillets, chamfers, and offsets to enhance productivity. With AutoCAD® readily available, benefit from the versatility of intelligent mechanical engineering dimensions. Quickly create dimensions through user-friendly dialog boxes for improved efficiency. The 2D DWG format includes a clear view of the standards tab within the open options panel, which guarantees adherence to international drafting regulations. Ultimately, this extensive array of features enables engineers to concentrate on creativity and innovation rather than monotonous tasks, fostering a more efficient design environment.
