Git Cola presents a modern and effective graphical interface for the management of Git repositories. This open-source software, crafted in both Python 2 and 3, empowers users to personalize their editing setup via the Preferences menu. In the absence of a specified editor, the application refers to the $VISUAL environment variable for its configuration settings. By configuring your editor as gvim -f -p, you can open multiple files in separate tabs, while gvim -f -o will allow you to view them in a split-screen format. By selecting a line on the grep screen and hitting Enter, Ctrl-e, or clicking the Edit button, you can quickly navigate to that specific line in the file.
