What is Supermicro MicroBlade?

The highly compact design of 3U and 6U blade servers is impressive and versatile, featuring configurations that can host up to four autonomous UP nodes within each blade. These servers are engineered to deliver exceptional power efficiency, reaching up to 86%, while also achieving a density increase of 56% compared to traditional 1U rackmount servers. Each node is capable of supporting as much as 256GB of DDR4 memory distributed across eight DIMM slots, thus ensuring optimal performance. Moreover, they are fitted with high-efficiency AC/DC power supplies that meet Platinum and Titanium standards (96%), and the inclusion of optional Battery Backup Power (BBP®) support further enhances their reliability. The design accommodates dual Intel® Xeon® processor families from the E5-2600 v4/v3 series, along with the ability to integrate four 2.5" SAS3/SATA3 drives per blade server and up to two M.2 NVMe drives in select models. A shared infrastructure for cooling, power, and networking plays a vital role in achieving the remarkable density and efficiency that blade servers are known for. Additionally, Supermicro's MicroBlade initiative promotes a resource-efficient paradigm through its Disaggregated Server Design, which allows for separate upgrades of compute modules while keeping the remaining server infrastructure intact, significantly reducing the overall cost of ownership. This forward-thinking strategy not only boosts flexibility but also empowers users to tailor their systems to adapt to changing requirements without necessitating extensive system renovations. Thus, the integration of these advanced features positions blade servers as a robust solution for modern computing demands.

What is CCR2216-1G-12XS-2XQ?

Begin your adventure towards achieving 100 Gigabits with our cutting-edge flagship product: the Cloud Core Router 2216! This device is powered by a formidable 16-core CPU that rivals the remarkable 72-core Tile CPU used in our previous flagship model, the CCR1072. However, it is the exceptional Marvell Prestera Aldrin2 switch-chip that truly distinguishes this router, thanks to its advanced L3 Hardware Offloading capabilities! Unlike the former CCR2116, which was equipped with a switch-chip featuring four 10G CPU connection lines, this upgraded version offers four 25G lines, leading to a significant boost in performance. The Cloud Core Router 2216 is designed with two QSFP28 cages for incredibly fast 100 Gigabit connections, in addition to 12 SFP28 cages for 25 Gigabit networking, and it includes a Gigabit Ethernet port for further flexibility. With 16 GB of RAM and generous NAND storage, it also provides two M.2 SATA slots for additional storage options. The design incorporates four hot-swappable fans and dual-redundant hot-swap power supplies to guarantee consistent reliability. Importantly, users familiar with the CCR1072 will appreciate the compatibility of the power supplies and SFP modules, allowing for continued use of existing equipment. This thoughtful approach ensures a seamless upgrade to the latest technology while promoting a sense of familiarity and ease for current users. Embrace the future of networking with confidence as you transition to the Cloud Core Router 2216!
