What is finalToon?

finalToon™ opens up a thrilling world of illustration and unique cartoon rendering effects specifically designed for 3ds Max. Its innovative features significantly boost the adaptability of projects that employ Non Photo Realistic Rendering (NPR), streamlining the workflow like never before. Fully embedded within 3ds Max, finalToon works flawlessly with its native capabilities. By adopting finalToon as a standard Render Effect, users benefit from interactive rendering updates, which eliminate the hassle of re-rendering entire scenes repeatedly. This powerful tool is compatible with numerous 3ds Max renderers that comply with the 3ds Max SDK standards, facilitating the production of distinctive Non Photo Realistic renderings. Notably, the synergy between finalToon and finalRender presents an unparalleled solution for creative professionals, pushing their artistic boundaries beyond traditional norms. This collaboration not only improves visual results but also fosters novel techniques and ideas in the realm of rendering. As a result, artists can explore new creative avenues and elevate their work to unprecedented heights.

What is Houdini?

Houdini was meticulously crafted to give artists the freedom to innovate, enabling them to generate various iterations and swiftly collaborate with their peers. Each action performed in Houdini is encapsulated within a node, which are interconnected to form networks that represent a "recipe" that can be adjusted for better results and reused to yield distinct outcomes. The procedural essence of Houdini stems from the nodes' ability to retain or transfer information (as attributes) throughout the process. The power of Houdini lies within these unique nodes, yet it also offers numerous viewport and shelf tools that facilitate an intuitive experience for artists. While users engage with the interface, Houdini automatically constructs the necessary networks and nodes in the background. This design empowers artists to venture into new creative avenues, as they can effortlessly diverge to investigate alternative solutions, making the platform both versatile and user-friendly. As a result, artists are not only able to create but can also adapt and refine their processes in real time, enhancing their overall creative journey.
