What is g-Viewer?

Geomage is an international firm that specializes in the creation and supply of cutting-edge technologies tailored for seismic data processing and interpretation. Additionally, it provides a variety of software solutions and services to numerous companies within the oil and natural gas sectors. The company’s seismic-processing offerings are grounded in the groundbreaking MultiFocusing™ technology, which has been deployed across countless exploration locations worldwide, ensuring precise imaging and enhanced detail regarding subsurface structures and stratigraphy. Among its array of tools, the g-Viewer stands out as a powerful instrument for visualizing and selecting seismic datasets within a three-dimensional environment. The commercial version of this viewer supports the plotting of both 2D sections and volumetric data, thereby enriching the experience for its users. By integrating advanced features, the g-Viewer enhances the analytical capabilities of geoscientists and engineers alike.

What is ZetaWare Trinity?

We often find ourselves lacking awareness of the thickness and diverse characteristics of the source rock within the kitchen area, in addition to missing insights about the heat flow in that same kitchen and the potential losses from secondary migration. To accurately assess prospects, it becomes critical to simulate a range of scenarios based on these uncertain parameters, as those prospects that exhibit charging across most scenarios will inherently carry the least risk, unlike those with diminished charging potential that will face greater uncertainty. Moreover, additional elements such as top seal capacity, unconformities, source rock facies, and different interpretations of seismic data also introduce their own levels of risk and uncertainty. It appears illogical to employ multi-component kinetics when we lack fundamental knowledge regarding the thickness, total organic carbon (TOC), and hydrogen index (HI) of the source rock itself. Incorporating tools like Trinity allows users to upload the interpreted surfaces and create dynamic cross-sections that can be manipulated with a mouse, fostering an interactive experience that significantly enhances understanding. This flexibility provides a detailed perspective of the geological context, with the three-dimensional cross-sections resembling adjustable fence diagrams, which unveil far more complex geological information than traditional static maps can convey, ultimately leading to a richer comprehension of the subsurface geology. In this way, immersive tools can dramatically improve the decision-making processes in geological assessments.
