What is iZotope Total Balance Control?

Tonal Balance Control 2 is a groundbreaking plug-in designed for audio engineers who aim to create mixes that sound consistent across a range of playback devices. It offers the functionality to visualize the tonal balance of audio and allows users to compare it against 12 different target curves reflective of popular music genres. Moreover, users can upload their own audio files to create customized reference curves tailored to their specific needs. This plug-in streamlines the workflow by enabling direct integration with compatible iZotope plug-ins such as Relay, allowing for adjustments to tracks directly within the Tonal Balance Control 2 interface. In addition, it provides features that facilitate access to and control over EQs from Ozone and Neutron, which helps users make more accurate tonal modifications. The included iZotope Relay tool further enhances this experience by offering capabilities for gain adjustment, panning, stereo imaging, and more, presenting a lightweight solution for mixing that works seamlessly with Tonal Balance Control 2. Such collaborative features empower users to effectively analyze the frequency response of any track in relation to their intended tonal balance, which is essential for producing mixes that meet genre-specific expectations. Overall, this plug-in not only simplifies the mixing process but also promotes a more intuitive method for achieving high-quality professional audio results, making it an invaluable tool in any audio professional's toolkit.

What is Haaze 2?

Klevgrand's enhanced Haaze v2 presents a refined method for manipulating stereo width and spatially arranging sounds in a stereo mix. Conventional left-right panning often fails to accurately replicate real-world soundscapes, a phenomenon that becomes particularly noticeable when trying to integrate a mono sound into a stereo setting, especially with headphones, as it tends to sound excessively "mono." The Haaze plugin elevates audio positioning, enhancing the listening experience by making it feel more engaging and natural. It accomplishes this by segmenting the audio signal into 16 separate frequency bands, enabling users to delay the left or right signal within each band, which creates an auditory illusion that helps listeners perceive sound originating from whichever direction the signal arrives first. Furthermore, users can pan sounds to the left or right and adjust the overall width of each band, such as centering lower frequencies while allowing higher frequencies to spread out more broadly. Haaze also has the capability to diffuse a mono signal, thereby expanding its spatial characteristics. While this concept may seem complex, it ultimately culminates in a more immersive and satisfying auditory experience for the listener. This plugin exemplifies how advanced audio processing techniques can transform ordinary mixes into captivating soundscapes.
