    Summary

    We are a small group and all work remotely. Our training has lots of moving parts so figuring out who is where on a project is challenging. ActiveCollab meets the majority of our needs well: tasks can be assigned with deadlines to individuals and you can also have a big picture view of what's going on. The email activity summary is very useful - all of the email alerts are handy. They offer non-profit pricing which makes an already pretty affordable tool even better.

    Positive

    Simple interface that makes getting started with project management easy. Pricing is affordable. Setting things up took a relatively short period of time and you can import Basecamp projects quickly if you're migrating (we were).

    Negative

    It would be nice to be able to customize the left menu (taking out what we don't use).
