    Investing in Multiple Markets

    Summary

    Many companies, like us, operate in multiple markets and multiple countries, which makes it difficult from a corporate perspective to compare investment opportunities across those markets. Finding AppO eliminated the issue entirely, presenting us with detailed comparisons of relative business value for each of the potential investments even though the differing markets required differing approaches to measuring value.

    Summary

    Working in the resources industry we are often challenged by the complexity of capital investment decisions. Thankfully we found AppO so now our decisions are made simply, regardless of complexity and in a much shorter timeframe that without AppO. We couldn’t recommend AppO more highly

    Future Production Capacity

    Summary

    We needed to make a critical decision about creating further production capacity. Were we going to outsource, build from scratch, acquire pre-built and fit-out? When we laid out the basis of the decision we found we had over 100 selection criteria many of which were intangible. AppO made light work of the problem and we were even able to identify a series of fall-back strategies on project options.

    Ease of use and taking simple steps to solve a very complex problem. With over 40 criteria to consider apart from our cost/benefit analysis AppO made it to easy to set the framework for success. Getting relative importance of each criteria is a snack and the detailed analysis, including sensitivity analysis, was just what the doctor ordered.

    Negative

    Embarrassing to say that nothing comes to mind. This is the first decision support software we have used and it filled all of our needs. If I had to mention something then maybe adding standard surveys to collect stakeholder opinions but this can be achieved by integrating other products.
