Date: Mar 10 2025SummaryWe use fiXtress throughout the design phase of our PCB projects to perform MTBF prediction. It helps us to validate the selection of the components. We no longer need a subcontractor to calculate MTBF. We can rely on the many components already validated by BQR and included in the fiXtress master library. We additionally manage our own library too.
PositiveIts large component library, its bill of material parser to auto-fill parameters and the ability of the EDA plugin to assign and propagate the stresses help to reduce the time to establish the MTBF of systems. It generates detailed Excel reports and makes it easy to analyze the impact of design variants.
