    Disappointing software

    Date: Mar 08 2024
    Summary

I would never recommend a user to ever use this software. Support is in German which is not a problem if you speak the language. There is no community so if you have a problem you indeed have a problem and all the best finding a person who knows how to use the software. I expected the software to be better than a free software that is available online but I was only disappointed with the outcome. If you ever want to buy a 3D software, I would definitely recommend going with Alibre or FreeCAD or maybe even Fusion 360 which is still way better than BeckerCAD 14.
All the best to the team.

    Positive

It is cost effective, and evidently makes sense with the cost because the interface is so difficult to understand and for a designer it is a pain when none of the pan and tilt options are not on the mouse.

    Negative

Interface, 3D modeling, non parametric, steps involved in basic constructions, movement of working planes for simple designs, toggling on and off of the 2D and 3D options for 3D part features. Drawing of extra construction lines, the list goes on and on.
