What is CalChamber?

California law requires employers with at least five employees to offer sexual harassment prevention training to all staff members every two years. As of January 1, 2021, both supervisors and nonsupervisory employees were obligated to complete this training. Furthermore, it is essential for training to be conducted within six months following an employee's hiring or promotion, with subsequent sessions occurring biannually. Consequently, any employees who received training in 2019 must complete retraining by 2021. This continuous education serves as a vital component in fostering a workplace culture that is safe and respectful for everyone involved. Regularly updating this training helps ensure that all employees are aware of their rights and responsibilities in preventing harassment.
