I used it to create marketing materials, I've used all the major screen recording apps. The built-in effects are great. It's a one-stop video creation solution.

I like that there are a lot of effects and resources available, the tool is designed to be easy to use. I love that it is extremely easy to use. The screen recording capability is amazing. The layout of the app is pretty easy to understand.

The software can be very resource intensive, it was almost overwhelming to learn everything at once. I wish there was better support overall.

The convenience and speed it provides when creating documentation does a very good job of capturing the actual clicks performed. It has allowed me to document simple or complex processes. It integrates perfectly with our existing systems.

I especially like how it takes custom screenshots, the product is incredibly easy to use and implement. Its intuitive interface allows you to capture workflows effortlessly. I love the images it creates and that you can edit the steps.

Perhaps a few more design elements are needed for out guides. I wish it was easier to copy and paste into documents.

It saves a lot of time in sending visualizations, providing a visual reference to our developers. We can organize the content brilliantly. I use it daily to take and download screenshots.

I like that it's easy to choose the type of recording, the extension makes it easy to create screenshots. It's a complete solution for capturing screen videos. I love being able to capture things in real time and share them.

I didn't like that you can't move the app window around on the screen. The video capture feature can be a bit slow at times. There's also a slight delay in starting the recording at times.

I use Camtasia daily in combination with other Authoring tools to develop eLearning courses. It is very easy to use and produces high-quality content. The certification course provides training for users and there are plenty of resources available to develop a user from beginner to expert.

Reasonable price, multi-use, user-friendly, certifications/training, multiple export options, beginner to advanced usage. In short, you can use Camtasia to do simple things or advanced things. I find it helpful to create eLearning courses along with other Authoring tools. They also continuously improve and update the software.

I like everything and use it every day to develop eLearning courses.

Its a great tool that reduces my design time and allows me to quickly produce video content at an affordable cost point. Many years ago I may have known someone who had a bootleg copy of the program. As a registered user, I find the support and benefits worth being a legitimate customer.

I do not have to use Adobe After Effects and Premiere to create complex video elements for my projects.

The ability to create courses that report completions without having to transfer them to an instructional design tool.

The caption editing tool is not easy to use when trying to cut transcript sections. I find myself having to type more of the text than using the feature.

It allows me to accomplish this task extremely quickly and easily. It's very easy to start recording a video and then start. It provides us with the best editing features that allow us to edit.

I love the fact that I can create amazing screenshots, it provides good quality video recordings. You can edit videos directly form the interface. It's a great way to record demos or presentations.

It has sometimes happened that certain recordings are lost without a trace. It would be ideal to add functionality to download a video after it has been shared. I would appreciate being able to edit videos in more depth.

I use this tool every day in all blogs, the annotations is what makes me continue using the application. It is very easy to take quick screenshots. This tool is an excellent option to create GIFs.

I like being able to copy the video link and include it in my email, it's very useful for taking notes on the fly. It allows me to capture what I need and post the file directly, the app automatically stores the screenshot. I like the ability to capture parts of the page as a video.

I wish there was support for Linux, it would be an even more complete tool. Sometimes it can take a while to take a screenshot and save it.

I've enjoyed the product overall. The learning curve has a few bumps. Mostly, it was pretty smooth. I'd recommend the product.

I've found Camtasia fairly straightforward to use. As a Baby Boomer, I'm not quite as tech-savvy as my younger counterparts. With Camtasia, I've found that what I don't know I can find out fairly easily.

The files do take up quite a bit of hard drive space. I guess that's par for the course. I do feel like I get asked to upgrade quite a bit for free only to find out there's a time limit on that free.

I use it a lot when I want to quickly record something to show someone. It has helped us scale some of our outreach initiatives. It also allows us to create quick screen recordings. It's great for communicating with your teammates.

I love the fact that there is viewer analytics, the best thing about this tool is that it helps you record with just one click. I like that all the essential features related to recording are there. The user interface really makes it easy to navigate.

It would be nice to be able to sort the video into folders, it would make the tool more organized. The sound quality could be much better, there are some glitches here and there, but nothing major.

Having no experience with video editing, this was the first software I used. Made the process very easy!

There are many great products that have made my life easier. I use it several times a day to guide clients through workflows. It allows me to save the screenshot forever. The app is easy to use and fast.

I love that I can create videos of just a region of the screen, it makes it incredibly easy to document. I love being able to edit my screenshot with arrows. The video recording feature is a great feature, it makes uploading images pretty easy.

Screen recording takes a while to process, the app didn't work well for me at first. I wish there was a way to organize my materials.

I have been using Camtasia for over 20 years. From what it was when they started to now, there has been a tremendous improvement to make it easier to use, more professional in appearance (especially the final product once produced) and still remain an economical option. I used to get looks like I was crazy to use Camtasia when I would bring it up at industry conferences. Now, I am ahead of the pack as more and more people are using it.

Very easy to use, has great assets to work with. The part that I have enjoyed the most is the constant work to improve the software so that it is on par with programs like Final Cut Pro. Still not completely there yet, but when looking at cost and ease of use, I will take Camtasia any day.

As with any software, it seems like when a major update or new version of the software is released, there are some hiccups. Luckily, they are good to get those fixed and a new, better update sent to the users.

It is very useful when you need to know very precise information, the clarity of the recordings is also clear. It allows you to generate step-by-step instructional content in video. There are many options for editing videos that are very helpful.

I like the ease of editing that the tool offers, it works well most of the time. The video editor works very well and has a lot of features. It is an extremely easy to use screen recording software. I like the fact that it has a built-in editor.

The support is excellent and the product is perfect for my personal taste. I have not had any problems since using this amazing tool.

Love this software and how quick and easy it is to create small reference snippets to guide my team visually in how to use a particular piece of software for things like new user training, or just a refresher. Because of the visual medium, it's not always necessary for me to capture audio, but it's very easy to add call outs where necessary if you want to highlight a button or action.

- Easy to capture areas
- Easy quick edits (call outs)
- All project files are in one place
- The quick capture bar is nice to use and tells you what's turned on and being captured and what isn't

- Can take a while to export (but that's true of any product really)
- Editing audio takes a little bit of getting used to (but once you figure it out, it makes sense)
- Haven't worked out how to capture audio from my M1 Mac (worked on my Intel Mac but haven't honestly invested too much time into capturing system audio)

It's a good product that has evolved over time. The ease with which you can produce quality videos very fast clinches it

- There's a bug in their maintenance program in that if you take out maintenance but don't select autorenew the system tells you you don't have maintenance when in fact you do!

I use it every day with very little issues at all. Simple to use, and effective. Makes pro looking output.

I love the simplicity of the of the software, especially the cut and paste workflow. I have access to virtually every video software, but this one is so simple, but makes pro output.

Could use webM compatibility. Would like a feature to merge files that have had segments cut out to handle them as one file.

Still learning but finding that there are endless functions. Excited to continue to create impactful trainings.

Challenging to learn to use but once it's mastered it's a fantastic platform.

I've used a couple other editing software's, but none of them have even come close to Camtasia's level.

I don't like that Camtasia Assets is a subscription, instead of a one time payment.

I think Camtasia is a great software and I prefer it too more expensive video editing softwares like Premiere. I mainly use it for making instructional videos, I believe you can use it for a variety of purposes.

Very easy to use. Lots of training resources to help you use the software better. Easy to export files and share among colleagues. Easy to make high quality videos in little time.

Software occasionally has some weird quirks with audio. If you need to cut or rearrange a video you've already created, it can be cumbersome. There is a slight learning curve so it's not exactly a jump in and use right away software if you've never used video editors before.

There is no other product that has the same features for screen casting as Camtasia. With that being said it does need to be finessed for UX - I would like to see a better looking and more intuitive list on the right side of window such as "Transitions" "Annotations" "Gesture Effects"

The captioning is quite manually and does need to be modernized. I have to take video and take to another software. I would love to see some improvements to reduce one software instance,

There is no other similar product that can do the same things Camtasia completes. The background remover is such a handy feature that I cannot utilize in other video software: a much welcomed feature.

Captioning is needed in video today - Camtasia doesn't have auto-captioning - it is a manual process. I would like a time saving.
