    Good video editing software

    Date: Nov 11 2020
    Summary

Da Vinci provides both free and paid softwares. The paid one gets the full package of tools and features you can work with a hefty price.
But you can also create decent good-looking videos using the free version if you are not much a professional video editor.

    Positive

Da Vinci provides a free software with less features for people who are just looking to find their way in the field of video editing. This is one thing that stands apart from how Adobe offers.

    Negative

Didn't face any issues regarding bugs or lags. It worked just fine for me.

The best value in video post-production

    Date: Nov 23 2020
    Summary

I've been using Resolve over the last three years for video editing, audio post-production, and basic motion graphics. At my company, we don't need to do a lot of complex post-production in-house, so an affordable but still powerful tool like Davinci Resolve is ideal. Resolve could easily handle high-end work but it's cheap enough for any organization to use. Try the free version before upgrading to Resolve Studio - if you can handle the learning curve, there's no reason to use anything else!

    Positive

Davinci Resolve has evolved into a full-featured post-production suite, including comprehensive editing, coloring, audio, and motion graphics capabilities. Resolve can easily handle any video project, from corporate/event videography to editing full-length movies. The free version is amazing, offering most of the functionality of the Studio version. And if you need the full version, the cost is very low compared to other professional post-production software.

    Negative

The key challenge with Davinci Resolve is that there is a fairly steep learning curve. This is professional post-production software. If you have used other professional non-linear editing programs, many of the skills will transfer over, but you'll still have to learn where tools live, which can be challenging given how packed the interface is. The Fusion module's node-based graphics and effects can be particularly challenging to learn. Resolve also has some serious system requirements. While a modest PC can make 1080p edits and do some audio work, you may need to upgrade CPU, RAM, or GPU if you want to do anything higher end. Make sure to check the system requirements and recommendations on the Resolve website.
