So Far, So Good!
Date: Mar 26 2023SummaryThis is definitely something to keep an eye on. It's really the only FOSS option that holds a candle to bigger names like ProPresenter, and it's doing it well. If development on this project keeps up, it won't be long before we permanently swap this in as our main tool on Sundays.
PositiveIt's probably the only FOSS option in its category that actually has a modern aesthetic to it. And the theme is totally configurable, including the font! It seems like such a small thing, but it's surprisingly rare to see.
Most of the default settings are great, and adjusting things is easy. The structure and organization of the projects, presentations, templates, etc., is fairly easy to find, and simple to work with.
The out-of-the-box stage and remote tools are fantastic!
Oh, and it's *fast*. Running a FreeShow configuration similar to our current setup (on ProPresenter), I can go from launching the program to presenting in seconds, and it's barely putting a strain on the machine. I can actually do *more* in FreeShow with multiple outputs, where in ProPresenter we'd practically be cooking the CPU trying to do the same thing.NegativeIt's still early enough in development that you run into situations where the program gets stuck on a setting or screen, and needs to be restarted. These feel pretty random.

It's not quite to the point that we can swap this in for our main presentation software, but it's really close. -

Best Church Presentation Software Ever
Date: Aug 14 2023SummaryThe overall experience with the software has been of the greatest. The only limit is your own imagination when it comes to how creative you can get with it.
PositiveCustomizable templates, song layouts, themes, overlays and so much more makes it one of the Best Presentation Software. The technical support from the creator also helps out very much.
NegativeAs the software is in its early stages, you'll find some bugs but that even isn't a issue because the bugs are being removed on a regular basis by the creator.
