It is highly recommended to use this application and extension to replace other instant messaging methods such as WhatsApp. We have used the tool for purely professional functions. It still has minor bugs that do not allow certain functions such as attaching multimedia on occasion, but it is an excellent option for segmenting participants of a work group through conversation invitations.

It has a very simple platform that can be easily used by anyone. We find it very convenient that it can be used from the Gmail inbox which allows us to have visibility into emails and Hangouts private messaging. Also, the mobile app has video calling integration, private chats and more.

There are some glitches that come with installing Google Hangouts for mobile devices. Sometimes when you try to copy an image from another application, it discards it and does not allow under any circumstances to send it and it becomes difficult in case of immediate transfer of images for, for example, a presentation.

As a company, we have determined that Google Hangouts is an instant messaging alternative that can be adapted to purely professional functions. The application provides extensions with G-mail and from your inbox we can check emails and in turn answer messages with our work group with the internal chats of the application, in addition to having all the tools that applications like these present.

We have been presented with errors when sending multimedia content in group chats, the application throws format error and discards it. When this happens there is no way to send it so we must resort to another messaging channel or otherwise opt to use the email tool to send the image, presentation or video.

I love Hangouts because it's so easy to use and so quick. Even the app is instant. This literally saves hours on the phone and it's also easy to scroll back to get information. Attach photos or screenshots for a coworker to see or paste a client message for clarification. It's instant and has little pings to let me know when my message has been answered.

There's not much I don't like, but I do wish that there was a search bar within Hangouts to facilitate searching for a particular strand of a conversation/ information.

I am using hangouts for so long now, it is one of the most common media to communicate in our office. It is easy to set up video calls. The application is free of cost and comes with a Gmail account. The usual texting feature has no reply back option like in the regular communication applications. Pasting screenshots easily by pressing ctrl + V is a great feature you need not save and attach the picture separately.

On an overall level, my experience is quite decent and it s a definitive recommendation for day to day users.
