What is ispmanager?

Ispmanager is a Linux control panel designed for websites and web environments, streamlining the work of web developers and hosting specialists.

Its key features include the ability to work with and download popular content management systems like WordPress, Drupal, and Joomla; file management through a built-in file manager; and the option to select from multiple web servers such as Apache, nginx, and OpenLiteSpeed. Additionally, it allows for the configuration of different modes for PHP, Node JS, and Python for each individual site, facilitates the creation and management of corporate email accounts with robust protection and easy migration options, and supports automatic backups to both cloud and local storage.

Users can also manage various databases like MySQL, MariaDB, Percona Server, and PostgreSQL, assign users, define their permissions, and utilize tools such as composer, npm, and pip. Moreover, Ispmanager offers Docker support for working with local and remote image storage, enabling the deployment and management of containers in a sandboxed environment, while also providing a VPN connection via WireGuard.

To ensure comprehensive security and optimization, it includes built-in SEO and security tools such as a firewall, Spamassassin, DNSBL, DMARC, fail2ban, anti-DDoS measures, SSL certificates, two-factor authentication, user rights management, backups, and antivirus protection. This makes Ispmanager an all-encompassing solution for managing web environments effectively.

A very good alternative to the market giants

    Date: Mar 20 2023
    Summary

I wish I had heard of this great alternative to the established players in the market before. A very fast, low resource demanding panel, yet with all the functionality you need and more.
    Also a very attractive price.

    Positive

    - Great user-friendly interface. It's intuitive and easy to understand.
    - Docker support
    - Very lightweight, does not require huge server resources.
    - The functionality is extended by additional modules.
    - OpenLiteSpeed support.

    Negative

    - The number of available modules could be more.
    - missing the Spanish and German localization out of the box.

I give it a thumbs up!

    Date: Nov 17 2023
    Summary

    Good experience eventually. Will recommend.

    Positive

Most of the time I use the file manager (when migrating websites to CMS) and the shell console. Well, the dashboard with basic information about the account helps to assess the situation immediately.
Also, I want to mention that Docker with different versions of mysql is a great thing. Very useful for me personally. Since my websites are adjusted for mysql 5.7 and on it they work much faster, since there is caching. Not so in the case of version 8, where the websites are slowing down. And this way both are installed and work well together. Cpanel never offered different versions of mysql, which was very stressful.

    Negative

I don't like the lack of security for corporate email. Few settings little protection. Can only be used for basic tasks.

    Good value for money

    Date: Mar 28 2022
    Summary

There are always a way to grow. There are some features like Node.Js support that will be a good fit. But in general - the product is quite good.

    Positive

+ It's really easy to use. You don't need any special DevOps knowledge to work with ISPmanager
    + Friendly interface
    + Cheap

    Negative

    - Support could be a bit faster. Despite good documentation you have to wait for an hour before a manager come to your ticket.
