Ease of use and good support

PositiveI started using LearnDesk about 15 months back to offer my recorded classes and I was happy with the results in terms of ease of use and customer support. When the live classes went live, I created a monthly class schedule and it has been working well for few months now. The ability to offer different schedule and share content with my customers is helpful. With live classes being attended my students from different countries, my customers are able to pay in their currency with the worry of price conversion, very helpful feature.
NegativeThe add on features can be better priced, and be better explained before one adopts those.

PositiveI have been using LearnDesk for past few months to extend the reach to my international audience. My language courses require students to complete assignments and also take quizzes, both of which are very good features that this software is providing. Now they have also introduced multiple payment methods, which is helpful for me and my students. Great features are getting added rapidly that is making course delivery easy.

Poor Customer service
Updated: Sep 12 2023SummaryWe created a course. Saw nothing from up except a constant stream of marketing emails from them. It was very repetitive nad we would get multiple emails a day. Don't recommend it. There's much better platforms out there.
PositiveNothing. we received no positive experience from them. Would not recommend it. Its a very basic system.
NegativeCustomer service. Cancelled our subscription after our renewal was two days in, and they refused to refund the money even though they have a 30 day return policy.

Good software for teachers, coaches and training companies

Do Not Work with LearnDesk
Updated: Jun 19 2022SummaryLearnDesk is a business front and a predatory model. Do not work with them if you are a coach. They do not deliver and are just looking to rope you into their own courses.
PositiveLooks legitimate on face value. Customer service is relatively responsive. Platform is clean looking.
NegativeThis seems to me like a lean, one man operation probably with a remote team for admin work. He pitches coaches to join at a "premium" level to promote the courses, but afterwards they do no promotion. The premium level is $150 as of 2022, and after paying it last year I literally saw 80 total views on a combined almost 100 hours of content that I published to the platform. Instead of seeing their lack of follow through and wanting to maintain the business, they blame me and my content - when I followed everything they said regarding pricing and had their own team upload my courses so they were done to standard. For reference, on one platform the same course has sold over 4,000 students because it was promoted.

Meanwhile you get regular emails from them to sign up and pay for additional courses from THEM and webinars on how to sell and be successful, etc. - but the whole reason you pay is to get exposure. I am not paying so I can learn how to sell my courses (which I already do). I am paying for exposure, which every coach needs.
They are basically running this platform to recruit coaches into paying a premium membership and then running the rat wheel where THEY coach you. It's total nonsense and a farce. The actual platform is horribly slow and ineffective, and they do not deliver because ultimately they don't care. They are just in the turnover business of getting as many people to buy their memberships and webinars as possible and there is an endless supply of fool coaches who are desperate to market their content. -

PositiveI thought it was a good priced product but there is NO customer support. So all in all there is nothing positive about LearnDesk.
NegativeEverything. Hidden costs to be able to upload my course. Zero replies when I ask a question, I have wanted to delete my account for two months and I have had zero replies from them. They keep sending out emails but I wonder if there's maybe only two staff? There's no option to end the subscription or to be able to delete my course and remove it from LearnDesk. I think it's a scam.

USER FRIENDLY

PositiveIt looks like a clean and user friendly site, the training was quite straightforward. The price is also good. I was looking for something simple to use to create and sell my own courses in a simple way and this seems to be it.
The support is there if you have any questions.NegativeIt takes 24 hours for the system to update every change you make, but once you know that, it's fine. The upload of Zoom videos takes a long time, but, again, if you know that, you organize accordingly.

PositiveFeatures such as school, hybrid session (live along with in-person) are very helpful at this price. The support team is responsive to my queries and over the two years that I have been using, I have seen multiple versions of the tool, and the one I see now is a sea-change from pre-pandemic time, it has helped me to extend my content reach with ease and able to get my students to benefit from it.

Frustration at every turn

There are so many issues with the whole thing that I don't know if I will continue to use it, in spite of it appearing like a good concept at the start. There is little in the way of preview available as you go along and there is very little step by step guidance along the way.
Frustrating to the max which is a real shame as I want to like it!PositiveOn the face of it it seems perfect and very well priced. Setting the class up was a little time consuming but I ran a live webinar session and the links and payments were successful in going through.
NegativeThe whole site is slow and not at all intuitive. Even tiny changes to a class require resubmission which takes at least 24 hours. Uploading content video has taken an hour and not worked. Support is good, but issues not resolved.

So I started asking them about the reason of it so they blocked me by everywhere on WhatsApp, calls, they didn't reply to me properly with solutions and finally LearnDesk unsubscribed me without giving any intimation and any reason. I am asking reason for but they are not replying and not refunding my money after many requests by me. I am going to make a fraud complaint against LearnDesk.
PositiveNothing. It's a fraud. Nothing to like. Not giving service properly. They do not answer any of your questions. They don't give a solution.
NegativeEverything. All services are the worst. If you ask for someone they ban you.

Sketchy, evasive, and untrustworthy at best
Date: Dec 27 2022SummaryI was contacted by a representative for LearnDesk--a Senior VP, per his email signature--who claimed to have somehow come across information on my books via my website, though he cited no specific details.
A cursory search on the company revealed many complaints from prior clients regarding deceptive marketing and billing practices, technical failures, and an overwhelmingly negative business rating, which I asked the representative to address before proceeding further. He was unable to do so, instead repeatedly falling back on a page of compensated testimonials posted on the LearnDesk website.
All the flimsy responses provided over an exchange of several emails struck me as evasive at best or entirely misleading.
Sketchy at best. I would advise extreme caution before doing business with this company, for whose services there exist many more credible alternatives.PositiveThey emailed me directly to discuss their products and services and the representative presented himself as a Senior VP, per his email signature, so he should have been able to respond meaningfully to basic queries.
NegativeThe representative was completely unable or unwilling to explain or mitigate the many claims against LearnDesk, leading me to an extremely negative view of the company, as he evidently could not respond meaningfully to basic inquiries such as any reasonable person would require prior to entering into any business arrangement.

NegativeWrong tech advice. Completely messed up my Scheduled Events. Would not issue a refund, did not recompense me for my completed class. Farmed-out tech support is in heavily accented English (hard to understand) and not well trained. Terrible experience. Stay away.

PositiveNot much. I paid for a year to host my training programs. I didn't sell one course through this platform. I sell many of my programs without using this platform.
When it came to remove my ip from LearnDesk, the company was very unhelpful, took days to reply to my emails and refused a refund of my second year subscription even though I informed them to not take the payment.NegativeLack of integrity and honesty by senior leadership at LearnDesk. Beware automatic payments being taken by LearnDesk and no warning in advance of those payments.

They want you to think that it is a company with 20,000 clients (they brag about that) but when you ask for a refund because their accountability doesn't match my values and principles of customer service, they deny the refund. Go to your bank and start a dispute - THEY WILL RESPOND. -
