What is MYKI?
MYKI provides a robust solution for managing passwords by ensuring that your credentials are stored locally rather than relying on the cloud. By using MYKI, you gain control over your digital identity, which helps keep your sensitive information secure across multiple devices. This offline password manager merges the strong security features typical of standalone applications with the ease of use often associated with cloud-based platforms. MYKI effectively handles and synchronizes your data locally on any device that has the MYKI application installed, thus reducing the likelihood of breaches associated with cloud storage. In contrast to conventional services, MYKI’s methodology significantly complicates the efforts of cybercriminals to access your private information, as it does not depend on storing data in the cloud. The app allows for effortless peer-to-peer synchronization among your devices, ensuring that your information remains current without necessitating a master password. Instead, you can swiftly access MYKI through your fingerprint, Face ID, or a PIN code. Additionally, MYKI enables the secure storage and automatic input of your two-factor authentication tokens while you browse online, striking a balance between security and user-friendliness. This cutting-edge approach to password management not only enhances convenience but also firmly prioritizes your security requirements, making it an essential tool for modern digital life. Ultimately, MYKI empowers users to navigate their online presence with confidence and peace of mind.

Unreliable and unintuitive
Date: Jul 28 2021SummaryI have given Myki a good go, having used it as my main password manager for 5 months, however the number of small inconveniences that are present have led me to look for an alternative.
PositiveBrowser extensions work well most of the time and the syncing across devices has been seamless. It definitely ticks the boxes for a password manager that is not storing data in the cloud. Having inbuilt 2FA has been helpful.
NegativeThe first thing I noticed is that Myki is always there. It becomes quite intrusive when trying to use webforms and will occasionally recognise non-password fields as passwords. The various browser extensions and the Myki app are not always intuitive to navigate, and features seem to differ between versions. There are small quirks that just make it feel difficult to use, such as password lists always jumping back to the beginning when you go in and out of the browser extension for both your username and password.
