    Nobody will call you after many emailed requests.
    Takes weeks to reach by email.
    I quit in February, no label sent to return tablet.
    No follow up.
    They charge your account without notice after quitting.
    They refuse to refund on their error.
    Poor Service, should say almost no service!
    DO NOT USE! bad, bad experience!

    They expect you to know how everything works and do not provide documentation

    Summary

    Very frustrated with partial AI based email only support. Features seem great, but you have to contact them every time you want to make minor menu changes.

    Positive

    Once they get your credit card you will not be able to get anyone on the phone.

    You will have to constantly start over after getting bounced to different reps.

    Negative

    Support and setup is very frustrating. They only reply to emails after onboarding. They pick and choose which questions they want to answer. A few days later you will get bounced to a new representative and start over.

    Don't trust their sales team

    Bad.

    Sales Team promises all the features I like, but first day got the iPad, the app shows no service.

    Sales Team, Onboarding Team and SuccessTeam gives different pricing. (I don't know what a mess they are doing inside).

    You are going to spend a lot more hours on this and may still experience difficulties.

    The idea is great.
    I was sold on the idea that this could minimize the staff activities on delivery platform.

    But unstable software, bad support, bait and go sales team, time wasting, difficult to setup, no transparency on pricing.

    The worst product ever.

    there is no use of this product. It's a scam. They take your money and promise you free trials but do nothing when you cancel it.
    they owe me $718 and keep promising that the service is cancelled for the last 4 months.

    Bad company, bad service, you will lose money

    I would rate this Otter company a negative 10.
    We were forced to use Otter when we moved in to the cloud kitchen. I’m in the process of getting a different system.

    Positive

    There is nothing to like about Otter.
    Terrible costumer service.
    Terrible product.
    Hard to use.

    Negative

    No costumer service. You feel lucky if they answer the phone. It can take hours to talk to someone.
    Half of all our orders have been lost over the last 6 months.
    On the tablet we can see the name of the costumer along with the time the costumer tried to place the order but there would simply be no order. This happened over 100 times. We have lost thousands of dollars.
    DoorDash quit working on the Otter system at our cloud kitchen location. Otter tried to fix the problem and somehow caused DoorDash to stop working at our other restaurant locations.
    We now use the DoorDash tablet instead of Otter.
    Do yourself a big favor. Do not use Otter!!!!!

    Overall, it does make it easier for the staff but there are many things that need to be changed. The features can be improved to make integration easier and the support would be better if there is a phone number to call when we need immediate assistance.

    It helps link all of our TPOs in one spot which makes it a lot more convenient for our staff and allows less time going through to accept orders while being on the line.

    Negative

    The support. It is almost impossible to reach out to support and there is only one option using the chat option which takes away time when a manager needs to be in the kitchen.

    The Otter application itself actually fails and shuts down and crashes from time to time.

    When we turn off certain menu items, we would experience an error message.

    Good Idea Bad Implementation

    I believe over time Otter will improve. For what they are trying to achieve, it's a great idea. It looks as though there was a rush to get this software on the market without testing it.

    I like the idea of having all the food apps in one place. I can get the order ticket from one printer.

    Negative

    The software doesn't respond immediately to commands. For example, when an item is not available, it takes minutes to remove the item from the food apps (DoorDash and Uber Eats) restaurant menu. In addition, the tablet they provide does not respond on the touchscreen. The number of orders stops at 148 every day.
    their customer service is not available immediately...a lack of staffing.
    The salespeople are liars.

    Worst Platform I’ve ever used

    Don’t do it. Get informed and educated. Even if they charge less it’s not worth it. ZERO SUPPORT. I signed at 20% deal and was shocked to know we are now at 40%.

    This is supposed to helps business to centralise orders and make work easier but this is actually making you loosing time, money and customers.

    Positive

    Integrates with quite lot of delivery software and was pretty fast to be set up and the sale team was friendly.

    Negative

    The system keeps crashing for hours, especially on busy time, when it happens they will not notified you so you can avoid to get your customers waiting.
    They changed our menus for someone else restaurant and took days to get sorted.
    Many function that they promised us never worked.
    When the system crash and you need support they just sending general message saying that their engineers are trying to fix it and recommend you to deals with the order buy yourself.
