Percona Monitoring and Management is the best tool for monitoring database, we use this with MySql but also it can also use with PostgreSQL, MongoDB. It provides real tine monitoring with best analysis. PMM also gives us alert about thresholds. It is best open source platform. The best thing about this software is that it provides graphical data with exact analysis and also it is secure to use.

Not much dislike about this tool but hard to control its dashboard for newcomer, it must be easy and simple to use.

I've been using PMM for almost 5 years now. I started using Grafana 5.1.3, and am now attempting to set up 8.3.5. The learning curve is very high, but I'm still enjoying the learning experience integrating pmm2 with AlertManager.

For all MySQL database application we are using the PMM for better management of datastore and achieve the availability of the systems.

PMM provides the ease of use. and also gives us the all the minor details of the database regarding queries etc.

If we enable the PMM to read every second from the database it started the throttling the database with the connection.

There is no big cons in this tool. In future it can also monitor the windows, Linux systems.

Great experience as it has a better working with MYSQL and MongoDB which helps lots on databases and its most important part of industry and PMM make the work easy and time saving as it easy to use and work on with an impressive user interaction. And a good tools for databases  as it provides help in working with schemas of the tables and give a better view of the connection between tables.
