A little bit of delay when the property is in the MLS

One thing that stood out immediately was how intuitive the API is. Our developers picked it up quickly.

The documentation was surprisingly easy to follow. It clearly explained each endpoint and provided useful examples, which made integration faster than expected.

Anytime we've had questions Lukas responded quickly and jumped on a call to help.

Our company (small proptech bootstrapped startup) were exploring ways to enrich our leads as soon as they came in. We reviewed a few different software and ultimately decided on

-setup was around 30 minutes (as long as you're aware of what you're looking for and have pre-mapped to your CRM. For us it's HubSpot.
-we reviewed the estimated home value and 9/10 it was within a few thousands of dollars from Zillow's Zestimate.
-Lukas (our rep) was very transparent and quick to respond

The only cons I saw were things outside of their control and not necessarily their product, like lacking individual financial information. This would have been good but I understand why they don't offer that.

We've had such great support in our integration journey w RE API. Lukas provides timely answers to very low level API specs and best practices that prove to be accurate and useful. This is rare in any industry but so exceptional to have in the RE space.

There's many angles and ways start ups can make valuable use of RE API as we've seem ourselves. It's been letting us go deep and wide at the same time and cross reference so many data points through 1 provider.

We've compared this API w ATTOM, RentCast, RedFin and Zillow. RE API easily provides the most comprehensive suite of MLS, Property Search APIs and data sets. There's also many Quality of Life aspects to their API such as credit free ID look ups. The level of detail in the provided response objects is very useful for our start up and gives us most bang for our buck to power our product.

Some of the docs can better describe the deeply nested response objects but support has been very timely to clear up any specifics while they improve docs.

When we were doing RnD for our PropTech startup at Dispo Genius there were so many options on the market for real estate property data APIs, like ATTOM, Melissa, and many others.
We were looking for an API solution that fit the following categories:

Cost efficient
REAPI hit all of these criteria perfectly. Plus their team is especially easy to work with. S/O to Lukas! He’s being amazingly helpful. Even brainstorming with us on possible setups. I give REAPI a 11/10!

I did not find any cons using this product so far!

Working with REAPI has been a great experience for our client's real estate application. Integration was fast, performance is reliable, and support was responsive. We would absolutely recommend REAPI for your real estate data needs.

As a web solutions provider, we built a client site that needed access to live real estate data. After researching data providers, we chose REAPI and was able to fully integrate REAPI into the web application in a matter of hours. The API design is intuitive and responsive. The client website serves 10 states and the data has been reliable and useful. Great support from Lukas.

The only issue we found was that local school rankings in certain areas were missing or not consistent with other sources, but we were told this was in the works to be improved.

One could easily hook up with REAPI within a couple of days and the data starts flowing. One stop shopping for national real estate data coverage.

- Documentation could be further improved, especially on the fields in the response, the more details, the better.

It's been great to be able to select which fields we need / don't need, and even after we manually verified a certain subset of fields we found that REAPI was incredibly accurate.

Nothing. The only hiccup we had was initially integrating with our lead form, and Lukas had no problem hopping on with our provider and resolving that.

The only challenge—which is not REAPI’s fault—is the complexity of obtaining MLS access. It would be amazing if there were a more streamlined way to get approval without needing every MLS’s individual sign-off.

Auto-Complete could Be Improved. The additional data points like latitude/longitude for zips, states, cities, and counties are not available at the moment similar to what Google Places offers. But good side is that it's unlimited to use.

RealEstateAPI has excellent documentation, and a responsive support team which makes it very easy to use the product.

The API provides comprehensive fundamental real estate info. The data is up to date and accurate, making it easy to build useful products.

The convenience of saved and scheduled searches as well as property value estimates is great for quickly building meaningful products that deliver actionable insights.

The tools for monitoring usage and managing an account could be more robust. Pricing could be more transparent up front.
