What is Silverfort?

Silverfort's Unified Identity Protection Platform pioneered the integration of security measures throughout corporate networks to mitigate identity-related threats. By effortlessly connecting with various existing Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions such as Active Directory, RADIUS, Azure AD, Okta, Ping, and AWS IAM, Silverfort safeguards assets that were previously vulnerable. This encompasses not only legacy applications but also IT infrastructure, file systems, command-line tools, and machine-to-machine interactions. Our platform is designed to continuously oversee user and service account access across both cloud and on-premises settings. It evaluates risk dynamically and implements adaptive authentication measures to enhance security. With its comprehensive approach, Silverfort ensures a robust defense against evolving identity threats.

Silverfort is a cool vendor in Identity and Access Management : Gartner2019 says

    Updated: Dec 10 2019
    Summary

As Corporate networks are going through dramatic changes in recent years, due to IT revolutions such as the cloud, Internet of Things (IoT), Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) and more. In this new reality, with countless devices and services that are all connected to each other without clear perimeters, traditional authentication solutions become irrelevant, and this kind of NextGen MFA approach is needed to fix those mentioned challenges.

    Positive

    -Silverfort is an agentless platform.
    -It doesn’t require proxies.
-It doesn’t need to decrypt network traffic.
-It can secure authentication and access to any sensitive system, including those considered ‘unprotectable’ until today.
-It enables enterprises to achieve Zero Trust security without rebuilding their networks.
-It leverages an AI-Driven Risk Engine to continuously analyze risk and trust.
-It can detect and block threats in real-time.
-It lets organizations maximize security while minimizing disruptions.
-It can be integrated with the existing & legacy MFA tools.

    Negative

-It doesn't provide an OTP feature in it, because recently some of the breaches happened through OTP.
-It doesn't sell hardware tokens but able to integrate with the 3rd party tools(eg. Yubikey).
