    Summary

    DPM is a great tool to monitor and track databases and identify the elements and queries that are taking a toll on the overall database performance. It also has a free trial.

    Positive

    - Very easy learning curve - querying in both Oracle and SQL.
    - Allows to identify what queries are heavy on the CPU usage and database infrastructure.
    - Has an alerting system for early detection of abnormalities, which can be life-saving.
    - Custom views for tracking and monitoring which saves bandwidth and cost.
    - Has a great customer service and support.
    - Everything is available on the cloud and usage is very light on the system as well.

    Negative

    It does require constant manual updating since there is little automation, which can be hectic. UI can also use some improvement.

    SolarWinds is always our first choice for business solutions. To monitor our database performance we are using its DPM tool for long periods. It works amazing and allows us to visualize and analyze every corner of data.

    It allows us to detect the issues in the server from its powerful monitoring dashboard. SolarWinds DPM is very easy to configure and monitor without any hassle. It gives Robust analytics to check health and performance. Overall we had a positive experience with it.
