    Stansoft is an excellent accounting software that addresses the needs of small businesses. It has lot of functionality but as a user based in UK, I've only used only VAT MTD and HMRC PAYE modules.

    If you're familiar with the command line or Linux terminals, and you need a payroll or accounting software -- give it a shot! The manual is super detailed and whenever I ran into an issue or there was something I wasn't sure about, I was able to get an answer from the developer. Can recommend!

    I like the no-nonsense command-line interface. PAYE and connection to HMRC is an incredible feature to have.

    I love that I can set it up on my own servers.

    There's a lot of features. I only need it as a UK business, it would be cool if I could set it to a mode that would hide all the features and sections that wouldn't apply to me.

    You can just ignore those sections if you don't need them, but it'd be nice to be able to pick a setup that only shows you the options relevant to you.

    Thank you for your positive review. To hide menu options you are not using, you can go into menu security and remove permission to those menu options for a specified username.

    Honestly, basically the perfect product.

    We use the product for payroll and MTD vat returns and couldn't be happier. The support staff are proactive in their updates, they know how to move around unix systems, and the software itself does everything I need it to do. No superfluous bells or whistles that get in the way.

    Runs in a Unix terminal. The features aren't hidden or obscured behind menu after menu. Reports are plain, easy to print or export into usable data. The support we have received for any issue/lack of knowledge has always been fantastic.

    I have yet to find anything I don't like about it.
