This application is perfect for examining various forms of textual data, such as interview transcripts, news articles, and open-ended survey responses, in addition to assessing still images. Users can seamlessly import documents in multiple formats including plain text, RTF, HTML, PDF, and data from Excel, MS Access, CSV, and tab-delimited text files. Moreover, it allows for the integration of data from other qualitative coding programs like Atlas.ti, HyperResearch, and Ethnograph, as well as from transcription software like Transana and Transcriber, including Reference Information System (.RIS) files. The software provides the ability for users to add comments or memos to coded segments, cases, or entire projects, which significantly enhances the analytical workflow. Users can extract coded data using Boolean operators (and, or, not) and proximity operators (includes, enclosed, near, before, after) to achieve greater precision in their analyses.
