What is X Spaces (Twitter Spaces)?

Spaces offers an innovative platform for participating in live audio conversations on X, which was formerly known as Twitter. The person who creates a Space takes on the responsibility of being the host. For iOS users, starting a Space can be achieved through two straightforward methods: by either long-pressing the Tweet compose button on your Home timeline and choosing the new Spaces icon, depicted as a cluster of circles in a diamond formation, or by tapping on your profile picture at the top of your timeline. These Spaces are accessible to the general public, meaning anyone, including non-followers, can join as listeners. You also have the option to invite listeners to take part directly by sending them a link through direct message, tweeting it, or sharing it on various platforms. A Space can host up to 13 participants, which includes the host and two co-hosts, all of whom can speak at any moment. When you create a new Space, you’ll have the chance to name it and launch it immediately. Furthermore, if you prefer to schedule a Space for a future date, you can select the 'Schedule for later' option to choose when it will begin. Once the Space is active, the host can send out requests to listeners, encouraging them to join as co-hosts or speakers, thereby promoting a more interactive atmosphere. This feature significantly enhances community interaction and supports engaging discussions among participants, making the experience more enjoyable for everyone involved.
