Great replacement for Terminal on Mac
Updated: Aug 15 2022SummaryIts a no-brainer recommendation. Lots of features and improvements over the builtin MacOS terminal app, and completely free, so no reason not to use iTerm2.
PositiveiTerm2 is solid and reliable, with tons of features, I've barely scratched the surface. Triggers to run when text shows up in a terminal is really handy. An advanced but very useful feature is the native tmux integration, which makes your tmux tabs usable like regular tabs, no special keybindings and escapes to worry about.
NegativeSometimes the window resizing or maximizing gets weird. Especially if using tmux integration. Not many other shortcomings.
