What is FreeMILL?

FreeMILL is a no-cost milling module that functions within our commercial CNC software, tailored specifically for programming CNC mills and routers. This completely free CAM software places no limits on duration, attempts, file saving, or lines of code! Users are empowered to generate toolpaths that guide the cutting tool along a series of parallel planes to achieve their desired shapes. Moreover, it facilitates the creation of both Roughing and Finishing toolpaths and offers comprehensive simulation capabilities for cutting and material processes. One of its notable features is the ability to output G-code compatible with your chosen CNC milling machine. Established in 1997, MecSoft Corporation stands at the forefront of developing both standalone and integrated CAD/CAM software solutions that serve the needs of the subtractive (CNC machining) and additive (3D printing) manufacturing industries. With its headquarters located in Irvine, CA, MecSoft is dedicated to delivering user-friendly, robust, and economical CAD/CAM software that addresses the various demands of its clientele. Their unwavering commitment to innovation guarantees that customers have access to excellent support and continually updated technology, ensuring a seamless experience. This dedication sets them apart in the competitive landscape of CAD/CAM software development.

What is CAM-TOOL?

CAM-TOOL is recognized as the fastest and most accurate CAM software on the market today. This sophisticated CAD/CAM solution is fully compatible with five-axis machining centers and features a hybrid CAM engine that combines both polygon and surface calculations. This innovative hybrid capability allows for the direct machining of exceptionally hard materials. Additionally, CAM-TOOL significantly improves surface finish quality, prolongs tool life, and reduces both machining and finishing times. The generation of more accurate NC code lowers the risk of tool overload, further enhancing tool durability. By resolving inconsistencies within the NC code, CAM-TOOL achieves surface finishes that were previously only possible through polishing. The enhanced precision of the NC code allows for the use of longer length-to-diameter ratios, making it easier to machine smaller areas effectively. Components that are machined with higher accuracy also demand less time for assembly. Users have reported successful machining of exotic materials with hardness levels exceeding 60rc, including carbide, thanks to the enhanced accuracy of the tool paths. This remarkable improvement allows for the use of .1mm tools without fear of breakage, establishing CAM-TOOL as an essential tool in the machining sector. Ultimately, this combination of precision and efficiency positions CAM-TOOL at the forefront of its industry competitors, setting new standards for quality and performance in machining. The software's capabilities also make it a versatile choice for a wide range of applications.
