What is Freeland Systems AccessPoint?

AccessPoint is a cloud-based PACS and clinical imaging workflow platform from Freeland Systems built to help healthcare organizations capture, analyze, report, store, and share diagnostic imaging studies. It is designed for specialties such as cardiology, radiology, vascular, nuclear medicine, women’s health, veterinary medicine, urgent care, hospitals, clinics, and imaging centers. The platform brings multiple imaging workflows into one connected experience, helping clinicians find studies, complete reports, and collaborate across care teams with fewer delays. AccessPoint supports vendor-neutral display so users can review studies from major OEM systems, including GE, Philips, Siemens, and other imaging sources. Its structured reporting features include customizable templates, auto-populated measurements, intelligent reporting tools, and report finalization capabilities that support faster turnaround. Worklist automation helps reduce administrative effort with automated routing, protocols, smart worklists, and more efficient study organization. The platform also supports secure peer consultation and study sharing so referring physicians and specialists can access the information they need more easily. AccessPoint can be deployed in cloud, hybrid, or on-premise environments, making it adaptable for different IT strategies and clinical settings. It supports interoperability with DICOM, HL7, and FHIR, helping imaging data connect with EHRs and other healthcare systems. Security and compliance features include encryption, role-based access, audit trails, HIPAA alignment, SOC 2 controls, and FDA 510(k) status. With zero-footprint browser viewing, real-time analytics, vendor-neutral archiving, and specialty-focused workflows, AccessPoint helps clinical teams modernize imaging operations while supporting faster and more confident care decisions.

What is Clinical Extract?

Clinical Extract can efficiently obtain research data from any electronic health record system that utilizes a certified bulk FHIR API, including well-known platforms such as Epic, Oracle Health (Cerner), athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, MEDITECH, NextGen, and Veradigm. The tool functions as a SMART Backend Services client within your existing infrastructure, employing read-only permissions and enabling the export of only the specified study group through a Group $export. It converts NDJSON into a detailed CSV format, complete with a data dictionary that correlates each column to its corresponding FHIR element, all while ensuring that patient data stays securely within your environment. Tailored specifically for cancer and clinical registries, it supports coded case and abstraction fields in line with the NAACCR layout and addresses the requirements of research informatics teams and ethical brokers by providing study-specific data collections alongside an IRB-compliant data dictionary. Additionally, it aids research sites in evaluating clinical trial feasibility based on established coded criteria. Among its key capabilities are a cohort builder, roster extraction using FHIR $match, and the creation of both the CSV and data dictionary, plus a specialized oncology perspective that highlights biomarkers and TNM stage as distinctly labeled columns for straightforward analysis. This holistic method significantly improves the accessibility and applicability of essential health data for a variety of research initiatives, thereby streamlining the overall research process. Ultimately, Clinical Extract serves as a vital resource for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of health data research.
