What is Ceres?

At eSoftware Professionals, we have created Ceres, a specialized software solution designed specifically for the unique ERP requirements of food banks. Each food bank functions as an individual entity that processes the receipt and distribution of millions of pounds of food every year. To handle essential operations like product donations, grants, and food drives efficiently, a dedicated ERP system tailored for food banks is crucial. While options such as smaller accounting software or Excel might appear adequate, they frequently fall short of addressing the specific needs inherent in food bank operations. Since the year 2000, we have dedicated ourselves to the development and implementation of Ceres, which is built on the Microsoft Dynamics NAV platform—widely regarded as a premier Supply Chain Management solution from Microsoft. Our commitment is to keep Ceres up-to-date, ensuring that we launch a new major version that remains no more than one iteration behind the latest release of Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Currently, we are in the process of planning Ceres 6.0, which will integrate with Dynamics NAV 365, and we are looking forward to the improvements it will introduce to food bank operations. By adopting specialized software like Ceres, food banks can enhance their operational efficiency and dedicate more resources to their core mission of serving the community effectively. Additionally, this tailored approach empowers food banks to better track their resources and improve their overall impact.
