What is JMockit?

This toolkit is offered as a set of resources available through the Maven Central repository. To execute tests, it requires Java version 7 or above, and these tests can be run using either JUnit or TestNG frameworks. For instructions on how to integrate the library into your Java project, consult the section dedicated to Running tests with JMockit. This guide delves into the different APIs that the library provides, featuring example tests that are built using Java 8. At its core, the primary API includes a single annotation that enables the automatic creation and configuration of the objects that are to be tested. In addition to this, there is a mocking API, commonly known as the "Expectations" API, designed specifically for tests that involve mocked dependencies. Moreover, a streamlined faking API, referred to as the "Mockups" API, is included to help create and employ fake implementations, thus reducing the resource load required by external components. Overall, this toolkit significantly improves testing efficiency by simplifying the setup process and offering flexible mocking features, making it a valuable asset for developers. With its comprehensive capabilities, it ensures that testing can be both effective and efficient.

What is Craftifact?

Craftifact is a European SaaS solution tailored for software development teams that need reliable package distribution along with improved transparency in their supply chains. It provides a variety of repository types, such as hosted, proxy, and group repositories, catering to technologies like Maven, npm, Python, OCI/Docker, and Go, all through an intuitive browser interface that simplifies the management of artifact metadata and repositories. Users can upload CycloneDX SBOMs and generate them for specific artifacts or OCI digests, enhancing traceability. Teams are empowered to analyze dependencies and evaluate alerts related to vulnerabilities, licensing issues, exposed secrets, and policy compliance, all closely linked to the relevant artifact. Access management is seamlessly implemented through OIDC, RBAC, group configurations, robot accounts, and scoped tokens, all supported by APIs crafted for CI/CD and evidence workflows. Operated by a German company under EU jurisdiction, Craftifact encompasses features like managed updates, continuous monitoring, and backups, ensuring consistent pricing that is not dependent on the number of users. While it assists teams in meeting CRA-related technical requirements, it is crucial to understand that it does not replace legal counsel or formal compliance evaluations. This blend of functionalities establishes Craftifact as an indispensable resource for teams striving for both operational effectiveness and adherence to compliance standards in their software development endeavors, making it a valuable investment for future growth.
