What is LibFuzzer?

LibFuzzer is an in-process engine that employs coverage-guided techniques for evolutionary fuzzing. By integrating directly with the library being tested, it injects generated fuzzed inputs into a specific entry point or target function, allowing it to track executed code paths while modifying the input data to improve code coverage. The coverage information is gathered through LLVM’s SanitizerCoverage instrumentation, which provides users with comprehensive insights into the testing process. Importantly, LibFuzzer is continuously maintained, with critical bugs being resolved as they are identified. To use LibFuzzer with a particular library, the first step is to develop a fuzz target; this function takes a byte array and interacts meaningfully with the API under scrutiny. Notably, this fuzz target functions independently of LibFuzzer, making it compatible with other fuzzing tools like AFL or Radamsa, which adds flexibility to testing approaches. Moreover, combining various fuzzing engines can yield more thorough testing results and deeper understanding of the library's security flaws, ultimately enhancing the overall quality of the code. The ongoing evolution of fuzzing techniques ensures that developers are better equipped to identify and address potential vulnerabilities effectively.

What is Devirt?

Devirt (devirt.re) is a binary devirtualization and reverse engineering service for security researchers and malware analysts. Devirt gives teams readable code back from binaries that a virtual-machine protector such as VMProtect or Themida has made unreadable. In a virtualized function the original instructions are gone and a private interpreter runs bytecode in their place, so disassemblers and AI agents can only describe the interpreter. Devirt reconstructs that machine and returns the protected functions as native-shaped code, each checked against the original before delivery. Who uses it: malware analysts working through protected samples, vulnerability researchers, software owners auditing their own protected releases, interoperability and supply-chain security teams, trust and safety teams, and consultancies that delegate recovery and keep the investigation. What you receive: an IDA database, annotated pseudocode, a written report, LLVM IR or structured JSON. Each delivery includes a coverage ledger marking every function proven, runtime-dependent, unresolved or permanently bounded, so you know which results to rely on. How buying works: a free browser check reads a file's format and protection indicators on your own device without uploading it. A free feasibility assessment reviews your exact binary and recommends scope, outputs and price; you approve a written offer before paid work starts. Packages run from free Community Triage and Triage Plus to General Analysis and Protected Recovery Lite, Full and Deep, with monthly plans and an Enterprise pilot for ongoing work and no automatic overage charges. Data handling: each file is processed in isolation and never used for model training; inputs are deleted after delivery and signed download links expire within 24 hours. Integration: REST API with webhooks, plus a read-only MCP connector for REA and other MCP agents. Devirt accepts only software customers own or are authorized to analyze.
