What is Klanghelm VUMT?

The classic VU meters have been carefully recreated to reflect their authentic behavior and intricate ballistics. Users can choose from RMS modes that include K-12, K-14, and K-20 scales, all while benefiting from a built-in peak bargraph that enhances monitoring capabilities. The meter's ballistics offer complete customization, featuring a unique overshoot parameter that adds character to its performance. VUMT streamlines the process of gain staging with its dedicated trim controls, making it user-friendly. The interface is designed to be resizable, allowing users to hide controls or opt for a display that focuses solely on the meters, including a single meter display option. Furthermore, VUMT includes eight customizable skins that cater to various aesthetic preferences, along with an editable instance label for improved workflow organization. In addition to the core features, the deluxe version of VUMT broadens its functionality by introducing additional metering types such as BBC, DIN, and Nordic, as well as extra channel tools like Mute and Polarity reverse buttons. It boasts a dedicated monitoring section and a suite of signal processing tools, which encompass HighPass and LowPass Filters, a single band dynamic EQ with various filtering options perfect for resonance elimination or de-essing, and a mono maker that enables users to tighten the stereo image below specific frequency thresholds. This comprehensive suite of features ensures audio professionals have the necessary control and precision in their monitoring and processing tasks. Ultimately, the VUMT series stands out as an exceptional choice for audio experts who demand both versatility and accuracy in their metering solutions.
