What is Oligo?

Oligo Security introduces a cutting-edge runtime application security platform that provides deep insights into application performance at the library and function levels. By harnessing its groundbreaking eBPF technology, Oligo enables businesses to detect and mitigate vulnerabilities in real time, focusing on actual exploitability to reduce false alarms significantly. Key features include prompt attack detection, detailed monitoring of application behavior, and the ability to derive actionable insights regarding real exploitability. With solutions like Oligo Focus and Oligo ADR, the platform helps developers stay focused on feature enhancements by identifying vulnerable libraries and functions in use, while simultaneously uncovering ongoing attacks, including those stemming from previously unknown zero-day vulnerabilities. Oligo's remarkably low overhead and rapid deployment capabilities ensure it integrates effortlessly into all applications, enhancing security without compromising performance. In addition, this resilient platform is built to evolve alongside the ever-changing threat landscape, guaranteeing that organizations are equipped to defend against emerging security challenges effectively. This adaptability is crucial for maintaining a robust security posture in an environment where threats are constantly evolving.

What is FortiSandbox?

Unlike the earlier, simpler viruses that were few in number, traditional antivirus solutions relied on a database of signatures to effectively protect systems. However, the current malware landscape has drastically changed, employing sophisticated techniques that often exploit existing vulnerabilities. When these weaknesses in trusted applications are taken advantage of, they can result in unpredictable behavior, which attackers exploit to compromise computer security. This tactic of exploiting an undisclosed software vulnerability is known as a zero-day or 0-day attack, and before the implementation of sandboxing, there were limited effective preventive measures available. A malware sandbox acts as a safeguard by confining an application’s functions, such as those involved in processing a Word document, to a controlled environment. This isolation enables the sandbox to observe the dynamic behaviors and interactions of applications in a simulated user environment, helping to unveil any potential malicious activities. This innovative technology plays a crucial role in combating advanced threats and has become a vital component of a more comprehensive cybersecurity strategy. As technology continues to evolve, the importance of such protective measures in thwarting increasingly sophisticated attacks cannot be overstated.
