What is OpenText Functional Testing?

OpenText Functional Testing, formerly known as UFT One, is an advanced, AI-powered automated testing platform designed for enterprise-grade applications spanning desktop, web, mobile, mainframe, composite, and packaged software. It enables developers and testers to centralize and automate functional and regression testing across all layers, including both front-end UI and back-end API components, thus increasing overall test coverage. The tool uses sophisticated AI-based machine learning and optical character recognition (OCR) to deliver enhanced object recognition, natural language scripting, and simplified test maintenance, reducing manual effort. It supports scripting once and replaying tests across over a dozen browser versions including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, Internet Explorer, and Chromium Edge, ensuring consistent cross-browser validation. Parallel and distributed testing capabilities allow running multiple tests concurrently, accelerating test execution and integration with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. The platform encourages collaboration via reusable actions, promoting consistency and efficiency among team members. Fully integrated within a DevOps toolchain, it eliminates traditional testing bottlenecks to accelerate software delivery without sacrificing quality. OpenText Functional Testing supports more than 200 GUI and API technologies, making it suitable for a wide range of application types and environments. Organizations benefit from AI-powered insights and automation that reduce testing time and enhance software reliability. Supported by professional services and premium support, the platform is a powerful asset for enterprises committed to high-quality, fast software releases.

What is IQM Studio?

IQM Studio serves as the backbone of our Integrated Quality Management process, encompassing both IQM Modeling and IQM Scripting functionalities. The advanced test generation algorithm within IQM Modeling effectively automates the design of tests for our Cause Effect Models, eliminating uncertainties in the testing phase. By utilizing a model representing your system, you can streamline the creation of test cases, saving valuable time while ensuring accurate validation of system behavior. Meanwhile, IQM Scripting enables users to independently develop automation scripts through keyword usage. Furthermore, integrating both features within IQM Studio allows for the generation of automation scripts directly from the model. This accessibility empowers all project members, including those without programming backgrounds such as Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts, to contribute to the automation scripting process. Ultimately, this collaborative approach enhances overall project efficiency and effectiveness.
