What is Oracle Health Clinical Digital Assistant?

Healthcare professionals are encouraged to prioritize direct patient care rather than administrative paperwork, fostering a sense of fulfillment in their medical practice, regaining personal time, and enhancing the quality of care through a stronger emphasis on physician-patient interactions. The Oracle Health Clinical Digital Assistant functions as an AI-powered voice assistant that effectively captures key elements of conversations between physicians and patients, processes the gathered information, and generates notes within the Oracle Health electronic health record system for prompt physician review. Users can communicate in natural language to access patient data and execute regular clinical tasks with ease. Additionally, it formulates initial clinical notes based on the interactions and information provided, ready for the physician’s assessment and approval. By leveraging voice commands, healthcare providers can seamlessly update and amend patient records, ensuring that clinical documentation is both precise and current. This cutting-edge tool is designed to simplify the documentation workflow, enabling physicians to dedicate more time to patient interactions and less to bureaucratic duties, ultimately enhancing the overall healthcare experience. The introduction of such technology not only improves efficiency but also strengthens the patient-care relationship, highlighting the essential role of communication in effective medical practice.

What is Grapheus?

Grapheus is a cutting-edge AI medical scribe designed by a physician for healthcare practitioners and clinical environments. It adeptly captures in-person patient consultations through mobile devices or laptops and records telehealth interactions via a Chrome extension, producing a well-organized clinical note that incorporates ICD-10 codes, E/M levels, and suggestions for additional coding. Each generated clinical note undergoes careful review and approval by clinicians, ensuring they remain responsible for the information's accuracy. This adaptable tool caters to a variety of medical specialties, including family medicine, internal medicine, psychiatry, pediatrics, and urgent care, as well as serving nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Additionally, the Chrome extension facilitates the smooth integration of drafted notes into electronic health records for clinician assessment. An OpenEMR module further augments the system’s capabilities by enabling the addition of note drafts, patient issues, allergies, recommended prescriptions, and entries for unbilled fees directly into patient charts. To maintain HIPAA compliance, the service operates on AWS Bedrock under an AWS BAA, guaranteeing that audio recordings are deleted after transcription, drafts are removed within 48 hours, and all transcripts are discarded after note creation, thereby emphasizing a commitment to patient privacy. This comprehensive system not only simplifies the documentation process but also significantly improves the overall efficiency of clinical workflows, allowing healthcare professionals to focus more on patient care rather than administrative tasks.
