What is Oracle TimesTen?

The Oracle TimesTen In-Memory Database (TimesTen) significantly boosts the performance of real-time applications by innovating how runtime data is stored, which leads to quicker response times and enhanced throughput. By employing in-memory data management techniques and optimizing data structures along with access algorithms, TimesTen elevates the efficiency of database operations, which results in notable gains in both speed and transaction capacity. Additionally, the introduction of TimesTen Scaleout features a shared-nothing architecture that enhances the existing in-memory functionalities, allowing for effortless scaling across multiple hosts and handling enormous data sets that can reach hundreds of terabytes while managing hundreds of millions of transactions per second, all without the need for manual sharding or distribution of workloads. This groundbreaking method not only improves performance but also simplifies the overall management of the database for its users, making it a valuable tool for developers and businesses alike. With its ability to adapt to growing data demands, TimesTen ensures that organizations can maintain high levels of service even as their needs evolve.

What is FlashBlade//S?

Everpure FlashBlade//S is a unified scale-out file and object storage platform designed to help enterprises manage the rapid growth of unstructured data. The solution is built for modern machine-generated workloads that require fast access, high efficiency, strong protection, and simplified operations across large data environments. FlashBlade//S uses DirectFlash technology and the Purity operating system to deliver native multiprotocol support for NFS, SMB, and S3. It can support billions of files and objects in a single system, making it suitable for organizations with data-intensive workloads across analytics, AI, machine learning, HPC, genomics, healthcare, EDA, financial services, cyber resiliency, and rapid restore. Its modular architecture allows teams to scale capacity and performance independently, helping reduce stranded capacity and giving organizations flexibility as workload requirements change. FlashBlade//S R2 blades provide higher performance than previous generations, supporting demanding use cases such as RAG, training, inference, simulation, and large-scale data processing. The platform includes enterprise data services such as compression, global erasure coding, always-on encryption, SafeMode, file replication, object replication, and cloud-based Pure1 monitoring. Zero Move Tiering helps optimize performance and cost across heterogeneous all-flash clusters without requiring data movement, while Rapid Replicas enables efficient near-real-time metadata replication for distributed collaboration. FlashBlade//S is designed to replace complex siloed legacy systems with a consolidated platform that is easier to set up, manage, upgrade, and scale. Through Evergreen//Forever and Evergreen//One options, customers can access nondisruptive upgrades, ongoing software innovation, flexible consumption models, and infrastructure that stays modern over time.
