What is Polyhedra?

By leveraging advanced zero-knowledge proof systems, zkBridge significantly enhances both interoperability and scalability. Utilizing zkSNARKs, this system enables a prover to convincingly demonstrate to the receiving blockchain that a specific state transition has successfully taken place on the originating blockchain. The zkBridge framework includes a block header relay network and an updater contract that collaboratively ensure the integrity of the system. This relay network retrieves block headers from the sending blockchain, generates validity proofs for these headers, and sends them along with their corresponding proofs to the updater contract located on the receiving blockchain. The updater contract plays a crucial role in maintaining a light-client state, automatically integrating block headers from the sender blockchain as their proofs are confirmed, while concurrently updating the current main chain status from the sender. Furthermore, the Polyhedra Network fosters the creation of infrastructure that promotes seamless interoperability across various systems, guaranteeing strong security measures without necessitating additional trust mechanisms. This forward-thinking strategy not only facilitates effective cross-chain communication but also strengthens the entire ecosystem against possible security threats, thereby creating a more resilient network for all participants.

What is Karamba SafeCAN?

SafeCAN is a patented, exceptionally lightweight network security solution that authentically verifies and encrypts communications between electronic control units (ECUs) without imposing any additional network burden. It guarantees the integrity of both the sender and the transmitted data for each message, effectively safeguarding against unauthorized ECUs and physical tampering that could jeopardize the system's safety. In addition, SafeCAN reinforces in-vehicle communications, protecting them from potential over-the-air (OTA) malware threats. The innovative design of SafeCAN facilitates the exchange of encryption keys during the manufacturing phase, thereby removing the need for key exchanges while the vehicle is in operation, a frequent challenge faced by other systems. In contrast to competing technologies that generate extra network traffic through additional validation messages, SafeCAN ingeniously incorporates validation data within the redundant bits of each message, thus eliminating the need for supplementary payloads. Moreover, its backward compatibility means that there are no necessary changes to the ECU application, network protocols, or chipset, ensuring a seamless and uncomplicated implementation process. With its hardware-agnostic design, SafeCAN can be integrated without modifying the existing message format, while importantly maintaining low strain on already busy vehicle networks—delivering robust security without sacrificing performance.
