What is Qvera Interface Engine?

Qvera Interface Engine (QIE) is a healthcare integration engine for organizations that need clinical, imaging and administrative systems to exchange data reliably. Qvera has built interface engines since 2008 and sells both directly to healthcare organizations and to software vendors who license QIE and embed it in their own products. Many healthcare organizations end up running one tool for clinical messaging and a second for imaging. QIE handles both: HL7 v2 and v3, FHIR, DICOM including native DIMSE, X12, NCPDP, ASTM, CDA and IHE profiles in one engine, over MLLP, REST, SFTP, file, database, message queue and SMB network share. One platform, one vendor, and one skill set for the team that runs it. What sets QIE apart: imaging is not a separate purchase, because DICOM networking (store, query, retrieve and worklist) and header de-identification run in the same engine as your HL7 and FHIR interfaces; a team moving off Mirth Connect can convert its existing channels, JavaScript included, into QIE channels, with a report of anything worth checking; and high availability is available on every licensing model. Interfaces are scripted in JavaScript, one of the most widely used programming languages, with a built-in Code Wizard, and the built-in AI Companion helps teams build and troubleshoot them. QIE runs on MSSQL, MySQL or MariaDB, and the Remote Management Hub monitors and controls QIE instances running inside separate customer networks from a single console. QIE deploys on-premise, in containers, or in your own cloud. It is in production today at more than 600 sites, running more than 25,000 interfaces and processing more than 50 million messages a day, with individual deployments ranging from a single clinic to more than 10 million messages a day in one instance. Customers consistently rate Qvera's support highly, including 24/7 coverage for system-down emergencies. SOC 2 Type 2 attested.

What is MedicaSoft NXT?

MedicaSoft's NXT Platform is an impressive, high-performance cloud-based health data solution designed specifically for health information exchange, analytics, and a variety of transactional applications, including clinical and patient portals. Running on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure, it adopts a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model while benefiting from AWS's HIPAA-compliant services to ensure both security and availability, featuring a reliable system with redundancy across server levels and availability zones. The platform boasts an advanced modular ingest engine that adeptly parses, cleans, normalizes, transforms, and enriches clinical and claims data from diverse formats, converting this information into the HL7 FHIR data model to optimize storage capabilities. Once processed, the data is securely stored in a high-performance repository utilizing JSON format, which allows for easy access through a FHIR-compliant API, all while employing state-of-the-art encryption techniques to protect sensitive information. Additionally, the NXT Platform’s data warehouse is constructed on Amazon Redshift, offering outstanding scalability and smooth integration with popular analytics tools, significantly improving its utility for healthcare organizations. This holistic strategy not only facilitates effective management and analysis of health data but also addresses the increasing need for secure practices in healthcare information handling. As a result, users are empowered to leverage their health data more effectively than ever before.

Pricing Information

$9,980 per year (2 channels)
Choose from Channel-based, Enterprise, or OEM licensing based on how you deploy or distribute QIE. These are commercial models, not feature tiers.

Channel-based licensing
Starting at $9,980 per year
(for 2 channels)

The more channels you license, the lower the cost per channel, so larger deployments cost far less than simple multiplication suggests.

- Standard support and onboarding
- High availability available

Enterprise licensing
Contact Qvera for pricing

Best for large-scale deployments.

- Full capabilities of licensed product

OEM licensing
Contact Qvera for pricing

For OEM partners embedding or distributing QIE.

Additional pricing information

- All licensing models begin with a one-year initial term and auto-renew for additional terms unless otherwise agreed.

What comes with your license?

Complete product capabilities

Every licensing model includes the complete QIE feature set. There are no Basic, Pro, or Enterprise feature editions. High availability is available across all three licensing models.

Production, test and developer licenses

Every license covers one production instance and one test instance for staging, development and testing, and each runs the full QIE license. Every license also includes developer licenses for developer workstations, and larger licensing options include more.

Standard support and onboarding

Standard support is available from 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Mountain Time by phone, email, support portal, and knowledge base. System-down emergencies receive 24/7 assistance. Live engineer assistance, onboarding support, and answers to simple interface-development questions are included.

Services beyond standard support

Training and certification is available for an additional charge. More involved interface-development work is quoted separately under a statement of work. Qvera offers Integration Services for fixed-scope projects, dedicated engineers, or fully managed integration services for QIE.

Remote Management Hub (RMH)

Remote Management Hub brings every registered QIE site into one central dashboard. From a single console, operators can monitor the health and status of a QIE fleet, review version and activity information, and open a site’s administration console when work is needed.

RMH is an optional add-on available with any QIE licensing model. It is licensed separately and sized by the number of sites you register.
