What is Qvera Interface Engine?
Qvera Interface Engine (QIE) is a healthcare integration engine for organizations that need clinical, imaging and administrative systems to exchange data reliably. Qvera has built interface engines since 2008 and sells both directly to healthcare organizations and to software vendors who license QIE and embed it in their own products.
Many healthcare organizations end up running one tool for clinical messaging and a second for imaging. QIE handles both: HL7 v2 and v3, FHIR, DICOM including native DIMSE, X12, NCPDP, ASTM, CDA and IHE profiles in one engine, over MLLP, REST, SFTP, file, database, message queue and SMB network share. One platform, one vendor, and one skill set for the team that runs it.
What sets QIE apart: imaging is not a separate purchase, because DICOM networking (store, query, retrieve and worklist) and header de-identification run in the same engine as your HL7 and FHIR interfaces; a team moving off Mirth Connect can convert its existing channels, JavaScript included, into QIE channels, with a report of anything worth checking; and high availability is available on every licensing model.
Interfaces are scripted in JavaScript, one of the most widely used programming languages, with a built-in Code Wizard, and the built-in AI Companion helps teams build and troubleshoot them. QIE runs on MSSQL, MySQL or MariaDB, and the Remote Management Hub monitors and controls QIE instances running inside separate customer networks from a single console.
