What is Kithara?

An eclectic mix of guitars and plucked string instruments gathered from various global cultures awaits exploration. You have the ability to blend and sculpt up to four unique instruments at once, resulting in textured and dynamic auditory experiences. The fragments engine allows for the creation of organic granular soundscapes. Dive into the cinematic world of guitars with Kithara, which encompasses a variety of styles, from classical and flamenco guitars to instruments like the balalaika, cuatro, and ronroco. Every instrument has been recorded with incredible precision and performed with creativity, enriched through advanced sound design methods. With features like e-bow pads, granular mandolin textures, and rhythmic tremolos, Kithara fuses genuine, organic sounds with modern functionalities, enabling the production of everything from delicate plucks to sweeping soundscapes. Kithara's robust four-layer engine offers extensive manipulation of over 350 sound sources. The attack layer delivers crisp plucks and short sounds reminiscent of marcato, while the sustain layers enhance depth with textural loops, strummed bases, e-bow drones, and ambient pads, culminating in a richly versatile sonic experience. Each layer encourages artistic expression, inspiring musicians to explore new creative avenues and redefine their compositions in exciting ways. This innovative approach to sound design invites a deeper engagement with music, transforming how it is created and experienced.
