What is Renaissance SAEBRS?

SAEBRS functions as a thorough screening tool for social-emotional behavior, specifically designed for K–12 schools to assess students' social skills, academic achievements, and emotional wellbeing. The survey, which takes only 1 to 3 minutes to complete by teachers for each student (or 3 to 5 minutes for the self-assessment version called mySAEBRS), evaluates not only the absence of negative behaviors but also the presence of positive, pro-social skills, providing a well-rounded view of a student's readiness for learning. It includes a "Total Behavior" scale alongside three targeted sub-scales: Social Behavior, which looks at understanding social cues, empathy, and suitable interactions; Academic Behavior, which assesses class preparedness, attention span, work habits, and engagement; and Emotional Behavior, which focuses on emotional regulation, coping with stress, and overall mental health. This comprehensive tool aids administrators, teachers, and support staff in analyzing data from entire classes, grades, or schools, allowing for detailed examination of results across various district, grade, or demographic categories. By leveraging this structured method, educational institutions can more effectively pinpoint the social-emotional requirements of their students and enact timely support measures.
