What is SeaVint Carbon?

SeaVint Carbon is an online platform tailored for ship operators and managers, aimed at simplifying the calculation processes required for compliance with the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS) and FuelEU Maritime. Through the tool, users can enter details about their voyages and fuel quantities as per bunker delivery notes, which enables them to calculate the emissions produced, determine the necessary EU allowances (EUAs) for surrendering, assess the costs involved, and evaluate the greenhouse gas intensity according to FuelEU standards, while also tracking compliance balances and identifying potential penalties. The calculations incorporate factors such as the coverage of voyages, the upcoming 2024–2026 phase-in period for EU ETS, methane emissions from LNG engines, and the application of biofuels and renewable fuels of non-biological origin (RFNBOs). Regulatory references are directly linked to their relevant legal articles, providing users with straightforward access to legal requirements. Teams can perform data analyses on a per-ship or fleet-wide basis, and they have the option to export results into Excel or CSV formats for further verification, all while keeping track of reporting and surrender deadlines through notification reminders. Furthermore, every adjustment made within the tool is thoroughly recorded in an audit log, which bolsters transparency and accountability throughout the process. Importantly, the application automatically categorizes ships with a gross tonnage under 5,000 as exempt from these regulatory obligations, allowing smaller operators to navigate compliance challenges more easily. This feature highlights the tool’s commitment to accommodating a diverse range of maritime operators and their specific needs.

What is CO2 Emissions, CII & EU ETS?

Our CO2 estimator delivers precise calculations of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by analyzing the recorded voyage sequences and event details. This capability is made possible through AXSMarine's trade flows combined with our exclusive speed curves. By utilizing a voyage estimator, you can determine CO2 emissions, evaluate potential EUA costs, and outline the series of events for a particular journey. Additionally, Shiplist enables ranking of tonnage lists based on CO2 emissions, TCE, and voyage expenses associated with specific shipments. The emissions dashboard offers insights into historical CO2 emissions and financial risks, including CII, EEOI, and EUA, for individual vessels or entire fleets. You can visualize CO2 emissions, CII ratings, EEOI values, and EUA financial risks for each ship since 2013, while also reviewing all completed voyages and their effects on emissions and ratings. AXSMarine provides an unparalleled and reliable approach to CO2 estimation, ensuring rapid access to CO2 calculations across a grid of multiple vessels, enhancing decision-making processes for users. This comprehensive toolset supports better environmental management in shipping operations.
