What is Ship SaaS?

Ship SaaS is a powerful boilerplate utilizing Next.js, designed to expedite the development of SaaS applications by providing essential integrations right from the start. This setup features a thorough authentication system powered by Supabase Auth, facilitating user registration, login processes, password recovery, and social logins through services such as Google, Facebook, Twitter, and GitHub. It also includes a dependable and scalable PostgreSQL database, along with a swift SQL setup script to enhance user experience. Subscription billing and management are handled seamlessly through integration with Stripe, which includes webhook support for maintaining data integrity. Additionally, it offers flexible file storage options with customizable security settings, transactional email capabilities via providers such as Sendgrid, Mailgun, Postmark, and Resend, and a blogging system that supports markdown for straightforward content management. The boilerplate is optimized for mobile devices, integrates internationalization via JSON file translations, and is enhanced for search engine visibility through Next.js's static page generation features. Furthermore, developers can take advantage of the detailed documentation available to fully harness the platform’s capabilities, ensuring a smooth development process. This all-in-one solution is designed to help developers focus on building their applications without the hassle of setting up foundational components.

What is ReviveDB?

ReviveDB serves as an all-encompassing backup and recovery tool tailored explicitly for projects that leverage Supabase. This innovative service creates regular recovery points that are securely stored outside of Supabase, protecting various components such as PostgreSQL data, authentication logs, storage files, bucket settings, and Edge Function packages along with their deployment information. Each database backup is restored in an isolated PostgreSQL environment and carefully compared against an established inventory, while storage assets and function packages are subjected to hash validations to ensure their integrity. Users can easily keep track of their backup statuses, retrieve data either to the same or a different Supabase project, or download a backup formatted for PostgreSQL. Connectivity to projects is enabled through Supabase OAuth, which allows for temporary database access essential for backup tasks without requiring the production database password. The available free tier supports a single project with a limit of 1 GB of data and includes weekly backups, while premium plans offer options for multiple projects, daily backups, and longer retention times. ReviveDB proves to be especially advantageous for developers and teams overseeing applications on Supabase that demand a trustworthy and independently managed recovery solution for their information. By facilitating secure and streamlined backup operations, ReviveDB not only enhances data management but also instills greater confidence in users' recovery strategies, empowering them to focus on development without fear of data loss.
