The AgeShield ID Scanner is a mobile application tailored for implementation in various establishments like bars, nightclubs, restaurants, and retail spaces throughout the United States. It is compatible with iPhones, iPads, and Android devices that employees already possess, which means there is no need for further hardware investments. With this application, users can scan multiple types of identification, including driver's licenses, state IDs, green cards, and passports, to confirm a patron's age in compliance with the venue’s age regulations while also verifying the validity of IDs and cross-referencing against lists of prohibited, VIP, and regular customers. The app features a functionality that allows staff to conduct checks for counterfeit IDs using barcodes found on licenses and state IDs, and it remains operational even without internet access. All scanning activities are logged in the AgeShield web hub, which generates an exportable audit trail detailing each scan, the actions taken, and information on the staff member who conducted the scan, including the timestamp. Furthermore, it provides insightful analytics related to busy hours, guest demographics, staff roles, and management across several locations.
