What is Sourcey?

Sourcey integrates an open-source documentation platform with a public data service aimed at facilitating software research. This documentation engine adeptly converts various source formats, including OpenAPI, MCP, Doxygen, Go, Rust, and Markdown, into static websites that are not only searchable but also customizable and self-hostable. Development teams can choose to build their projects either locally or within continuous integration settings, allowing them to generate static HTML files equipped with search indexes, llms.txt, and references pertinent to APIs or MCPs. On top of this, Sourcey’s public service provides source-backed startup proposals alongside Agent Readiness scorecards, which encompass dated evidence, unresolved issues, and detailed release histories. Users have the convenience of exploring these records directly on the platform or retrieving them via JSON, a REST API, and MCP. The documentation engine is offered at no cost under the AGPL-3.0 license, ensuring the public can also freely access the research materials. This blend of resources not only offers a well-rounded solution for developers and researchers but also encourages collaboration and sparks innovation throughout the software development landscape. The availability of such comprehensive tools enhances the overall productivity and creativity in the tech community.

What is Konfig?

Konfig serves as a cutting-edge developer tool aimed at simplifying the process of creating SDKs, comprehensive documentation, engaging demos, and informative tutorials for REST APIs, ultimately enhancing the onboarding experience for external developers. By allowing users to easily import an OpenAPI Specification or Postman Collection, Konfig can swiftly generate SDKs in popular programming languages including TypeScript, Python, Java, C#, PHP, Ruby, Go, Swift, and Dart. The platform significantly improves the quality of these SDKs through a built-in linter that identifies and rectifies errors in the OpenAPI Specification, along with generating test cases to ensure that any updates to the API do not compromise existing SDK functionality. In addition, Konfig creates user-friendly, branded documentation that automatically updates in line with any changes made to the API specification, thus maintaining coherence between the documentation and the produced SDKs. Users have the added ability to develop interactive demos and tutorials utilizing familiar Markdown, which features the option to run code directly within the browser, fostering a more engaging and immersive learning experience. Overall, Konfig not only makes the technicalities of API integration easier but also significantly enhances the educational materials available for developers, paving the way for a more seamless and effective integration process. This innovative approach helps to bridge the gap between technical complexity and developer accessibility.
