What is Sprites?

Sprites.dev provides a cloud-based infrastructure solution that offers persistent, hardware-isolated Linux environments designed to execute arbitrary code safely and efficiently. Each “Sprite” functions as a fully operational virtual machine that can be provisioned in seconds, granting developers immediate access to a pre-configured environment complete with root access and a full filesystem. In contrast to traditional containers or serverless functions, these environments maintain their state, ensuring that all installed packages, files, and configurations remain intact between sessions, which allows users to effortlessly continue their work from where they left off. When not in use, Sprites automatically transition into hibernation mode and can be easily resumed, thus conserving state while optimizing resource utilization. The platform also incorporates checkpoint and restore features that allow users to quickly save and revert entire system states; this capability is especially useful for experimentation and iterative development processes. Additionally, the option to create multiple Sprites at the same time empowers developers to run various scenarios in parallel, significantly boosting their productivity and flexibility in task management. This innovative approach to cloud-based environments represents a major advancement in how developers can interact with and utilize virtual resources for their projects.

What is Cosyra?

Cosyra provides a cloud development platform focused on mobile use, allowing users to access AI-enhanced coding tools through a full Linux terminal directly on their smartphones. Developers gain access to a range of pre-installed utilities, including Claude Code, Codex CLI, OpenCode, and Gemini CLI, which can be activated simply by entering an API key and starting the terminal. The platform features a standalone Ubuntu environment that comes with essential development tools like Node.js, Python, Git, tmux, and vim, along with 30 GB of persistent storage that keeps data intact across different sessions. Cosyra seeks to replicate the capabilities of a local development environment, allowing users to create, test, and manage their projects entirely from mobile devices. It supports a variety of workflows, such as cloning repositories, reviewing pull requests, running tests, and deploying code, all while ensuring that sessions remain persistent and can be paused and resumed seamlessly. By enhancing productivity on mobile devices, Cosyra enables developers to work more flexibly and efficiently, transcending the constraints usually inherent in standard coding environments. This innovative approach ensures that coding can be as accessible and effective on the go as it is at a traditional workstation.
