What is Submariner?

With the growing adoption of Kubernetes, businesses are increasingly recognizing the importance of managing and deploying multiple clusters to ensure vital functionalities like geo-redundancy, scalability, and fault isolation for their applications. Submariner allows applications and services to function effortlessly across different cloud providers, data centers, and geographic areas. To kick off this process, a Broker must be established on a single Kubernetes cluster, with the API server of this cluster being accessible to all other clusters linked via Submariner. This Broker can be hosted on a dedicated cluster or any of the existing connected ones. After Submariner is installed on a cluster with the necessary Broker credentials, it enables the sharing of Cluster and Endpoint objects between clusters by utilizing methods such as push, pull, and watching, thus creating connections and pathways to other clusters. It's vital that the worker node IP addresses in all linked clusters are outside the Pod and Service CIDR ranges to avoid conflicts. By adhering to these requirements, teams can fully leverage the advantages offered by multi-cluster configurations. This strategic approach not only enhances resilience but also optimizes resource allocation across diverse environments.

What is CloudNatix?

CloudNatix offers a robust solution that effortlessly integrates with any infrastructure, whether located in the cloud, a physical data center, or at the network's edge, accommodating a wide range of platforms such as virtual machines and both self-managed and managed Kubernetes clusters. By merging your dispersed resource pools into a single, scalable cluster, this service is accessible through an intuitive SaaS model. Users are provided with a global dashboard that delivers a comprehensive overview of expenses and operational metrics spanning multiple cloud and Kubernetes platforms, including AWS, EKS, Azure, AKS, Google Cloud, GKE, and additional services. This all-encompassing perspective allows for an in-depth examination of each resource, encompassing individual instances and namespaces across different regions, availability zones, and hypervisors. In addition, CloudNatix promotes a streamlined cost-attribution system that transcends public, private, and hybrid cloud environments, along with various Kubernetes clusters and namespaces. The platform also automates the allocation of costs to specific business units according to your preferences, enhancing the financial management process within your organization. This level of integration not only simplifies oversight but also equips businesses with the tools needed to maximize resource efficiency and strategically refine their cloud initiatives. Ultimately, such capabilities provide organizations with a significant advantage in navigating the complexities of modern cloud management.
