What is Supermicro Hyper?

Advanced computing systems equipped with both front and rear I/O configurations deliver outstanding performance capabilities. They utilize cutting-edge PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD technology to offer extremely fast storage solutions. Additionally, these systems enhance networking flexibility by supporting AIOM NICs that are compliant with OCP 3.0 standards. Tailored for optimal performance and versatility, they are specifically designed for enterprise and telecommunications applications. Models optimized for telecom features short-depth, carrier-grade Hyper-E servers that adhere to NEBS Level 3 standards. The innovative toolless design significantly boosts serviceability, streamlining maintenance processes. With the capacity to accommodate up to 32 DIMM slots and a maximum memory of 8TB DDR5-4800, these systems can also integrate Intel® Optane™ persistent memory seamlessly. They come equipped with redundant power supplies available in ratings of 2000W, 1300W, or 1200W, all achieving a Titanium efficiency rating of 96%. Furthermore, support for dual 4th Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors allows for a TDP of up to 350W. Users also benefit from the ability to utilize as many as 24 hot-swap NVMe, SATA, or SAS drive bays, with optional RAID functionality accessible via AOC. This impressive array of features not only solidifies the systems' power but also enhances their versatility for various demanding applications, making them a top choice in the market. Ultimately, the combination of high performance, adaptability, and ease of maintenance positions these systems as leaders in their field.

What is FlashSoft?

SanDisk's FlashSoft® software enables seamless integration of solid-state storage within servers by utilizing NVMe, PCIe, SAS, or SATA connections, thereby enhancing storage performance while remaining fully compatible with current SAN storage systems. By efficiently managing the allocation of often-used application data onto a server's flash storage, the software ensures synchronization with the primary storage. This advanced and cost-efficient flash solution significantly boosts application performance, virtualization capabilities, and overall storage efficiency, without requiring any alterations to existing applications or data center workflows. Typically, the software can deliver performance speeds that are 2-4 times greater than traditional storage systems, which plays a crucial role in reducing latency and improving data transfer bandwidth. Consequently, diminished storage latency allows virtual host servers to support 2-3 times more virtual servers while upholding reliable performance standards. Additionally, by directing storage traffic through the server-side cache, FlashSoft reduces the burden on expensive storage infrastructures, resulting in considerable long-term financial savings for organizations. This comprehensive strategy not only maximizes resource utilization but also significantly enhances the responsiveness and flexibility of IT operations, paving the way for future innovations in storage technology.
